Negative Gemini, the stage name of Los Angeles songwriter, singer, and producer Lindsey French, is known for her contemporary approach to electronic indie and genre experimentation. Originally from Virginia, she moved to Brooklyn in 2014 and released her self-produced album, Body Work, through her own record label, 100% Electronica. The album received critical acclaim from major music publications such as MTVnews, Resident Advisor, and The Fader, drawing comparisons to artists like Hope Sandoval and Gwen Stefani. Following the success of Body Work, she toured North America for two years with her labelmate George Clanton (also known as ESPRIT) while writing songs for her next project, Bad Baby. On November 19, 2021, she officially changed her name to Neggy Gemmy. Additionally, she cohosts a weekly livestream called "The Big Steam" with George Clanton every Thursday at 5 PM PST.
