The Neighb'rhood Childr'n were an American psychedelic pop/rock band from San Francisco, California, active primarily during the late 1960s. Originally formed in 1963 in Phoenix, Oregon, the band started as a teen group playing surf music and R&B, with members Rick Bolz, George Gleim, Dyan Hoffman, John Morrison, and Gary Campbell. After releasing a single on a local Oregon label, they moved to San Francisco and became part of the psychedelic rock movement. Following the draft of Morrison, Tom Ryan joined as the new drummer. Subsequently, Campbell and Gleim also joined the reserves, prompting Ryan to leave the band. They were then joined by Ron Raschdorf on guitar and W. A. Farrens on drums. The band changed their name from the Navarros to The Neighb'rhood Childr'n and recorded a self-titled album released on the Acta label in 1968, which has since become highly sought after by collectors. They toured extensively in support of their album, opening for notable bands such as The Who, The Grass Roots, Deep Purple, and The Beau Brummels, and even went on a short tour with The Turtles. However, after facing challenges on tour, the band shifted their focus towards religion and changed their name to White Horse.
