Neil Young is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter and musician known for his skills on guitar, keyboards, and harmonica. He is also an advocate for environmental and political issues. Young gained fame through his solo releases, collaborations with other artists, and as a member of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (CSNY). Born on November 12, 1945, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, he holds dual citizenship in Canada and the United States and has been residing in California since the 1960s. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 as a performer. In 2019, Young announced that his application for U.S. citizenship was delayed due to his use of marijuana, but the issue was resolved, and he eventually became a U.S. citizen.
