New Tutenkhamen was a music band from Zimbabwe that emerged in the mid-to-late 1970s. They were known for their eclectic blend of Zimbabwean township music, which combined traditional rhythms with western influences. The band featured Elisha Josamu as the lead vocalist and arranger, supported by Christopher ‘Chex’ Tavengwa on bass, Paul Sekerani on rhythm, Jethro Shasha on drums, and Amos Chatyoka on keys. Vocals were also provided by Maggie Mbuli, with F. Manda playing the saxophone.
