News is a Danish pop-rock band that originated in the late 1970s. Founded in 1979 as the Aske Jacoby Band, they later adopted the name News. The band released two albums: "Stereo Magasin" in 1981 and "Sæt Sejl" in 1982. After the departure of founding member Aske Jacoby and front singer Gitte Naur, the lineup changed, with Søs Fenger joining in 1983. In late 2024, News reformed for a comeback tour and released a new single in 2025. The reformed lineup includes Søs Fenger, Peter Biker, and Jette Schandorf. Throughout their history, the band has featured various members, including Gitte Naur (vocals) from 1981 to 1983, Aske Jacoby (guitar) from 1981 to 1983, Jakob Vejslev (guitar) from 1981 to 1982, Jette Schandorf (bass), Peter Biker (drums and keyboards), Martin Nordborg (keyboards) from 1981 to 1987, Søs Fenger (vocals) from 1983 to 1987, Jørgen Rygaard (guitar) from 198
