Nicolás Melmann (b. 1981 in Argentina) is a versatile musician and composer with a degree in Music Composition from Quilmes University and a Master in Sound Art from Barcelona University. With over 16 years of experience, he explores various musical dimensions, including electronics, children's music, and compositions for television, film, theater, and installations. His innovative approach to composition has led him to experiment with different sounds, resources, and instruments, culminating in his latest work as a singer. Melmann has released six albums and toured extensively across Asia, Europe, North and South America, performing at prestigious venues and festivals such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Victoria & Albert Museum in the UK, and the Seoul Museum of Art. He has also served as a curator for "Lenguajes Sonoros" and has participated in art residencies at notable institutions including the Red Bull Music Academy and ZKM – Zentrum Für Kunst und Medien. Throughout his career, Melmann has received several awards, including the Virtual Partnership from the Goethe Institute and the National Arts Foundation in Argentina. He has been involved in educational projects and workshops on new music and sound art at various institutions. Additionally, he has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto, Nicola Cruz, and Max Cooper, among others.
