Nightcrawlers is a house music project created by producer, DJ, and vocalist John Reid, who was born on September 6, 1963, in Easterhouse, Glasgow, Scotland, and passed away on June 16, 2025. The project debuted with the single "Living Inside a Dream," which did not achieve commercial success. However, the 1992 dance track "Push the Feeling On" gained significant popularity, reaching #7 on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Play chart and peaking at #80 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it spent fifteen weeks. The original version of "Push The Feeling On" was remixed by an American producer known as MK, who transformed the track by using edited vocal samples, creating a distinctive sound. This remix, initially released as 'The Dub Of Doom' in 1992, became popular underground in the UK and later reached #22 on the UK Singles Chart when commercially released in October 1994. It was re-released with new mixes in early 1995, climbing to #3 and becoming Reid's biggest hit in his home country.
