Nino Nardini, born Georges Teperino in 1912 in Paris, France, was a prominent French composer, arranger, engineer, conductor, and producer. He came from a musical family, with his Italian father being a violinist and composer who served as his primary music teacher. Nardini began his musical career at the young age of seven, conducting a philharmonic orchestra. As a child, he formed a five-piece orchestra called "Les Diables Rouges" with a friend, performing at local swing clubs during the 1920s and 30s. After World War II, Nardini focused on conducting and composing music influenced by Spanish and Mexican ethnic and folk traditions. In 1951, he established the Nino Nardini Orchestra, which gained recognition through performances in "La Chansons de Paris," a weekly musical program at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. The orchestra also performed live dance and pop music at "Circus 58," where Nardini honed his arrangements in various dance styles. Throughout his career, he conducted orchestras for Radio Luxembourg, Radio Circus, and Radio Theatre in Paris, as well as taking on conductor duties at a French circus, where he learned to arrange music to complement circus acts.
