No-Man is a musical group formed in Hemel Hempstead, UK, in 1986. Initially known as No Man Is An Island (Except The Isle Of Man), the group featured guitarist Stuart "The Still Owl" Blagden and violinist Ben Coleman. After Blagden's departure, the remaining trio shortened their name to No-Man. They signed with One Little Indian and gained some recognition, winning Single Of The Week in both Melody Maker and Sounds for their track "Days In The Trees." However, commercial success remained elusive. As they delved deeper into art rock, they collaborated with various artists. In 1994, Bowness and Wilson parted ways with Coleman and One Little Indian, subsequently recording several albums as a duo. Note: This group should not be confused with the post-Mission Of Burma outfit of the same name.
