Noise-Maker's Fifes is a Belgian audio/visual project founded in 1990 by Geert Feytons and Timo van Luijk. In 1993, Greg Jacobs joined the group, and sound engineer Eric Faes became a regular member until 1998. In 1996, Timo van Luijk shifted to focus on his personal musical work, and Marc Wroblewski joined the fixed lineup. The group is known for generating sounds using various self-made instruments, notably stumps and trunks from dead trees. They composed music for films, installations, theatre, and dance performances. Following the death of Geert Feytons in 2006, the remaining members decided to stop performing and playing under the Noise-Maker's Fifes banner and re-united as a different entity.
