Not Breathing is the creative project of Dave Wright, an experimental electronic music maker and instrument designer. Starting in the late 1980s, Not Breathing released a prolific series of self-distributed cassettes, leading to a career that includes six full-length CD releases, several vinyl records, over forty compilation appearances, one 8-track release, and six US tours, totaling more than 300 live performances. Wright collaborated with Chicago's industrial label Invisible Records for six years, resulting in three CD albums and a collaboration with another artist. As an electronics engineer, he creates instruments that produce a unique spectrum of sound. Additionally, Wright has an extensive body of work as a collaborator, remixer, and session musician.
