Nový Svět was a music group formed in late 1997 and based in Vienna. The group aimed to introduce confusion into the industrial uniformity of music, refusing to be confined to any specific musical style or language. Over the course of their career, they released five albums: Rumorarmonio, Faccia a faccia, Cuori di petrolio, Venezia, and Chappaqua, each showcasing a new aspect of their evolving sound. Nový Svět was one of the first projects to be released on a particular label, where they not only found a home for their own recordings but also collaborated with other artists from the label's roster. The group was known for pushing the boundaries of musical categories, creating a unique blend of folk, experimental elements, and haunting neo-surrealism. Nový Svět is now defunct.
