Objetivo Birmania was a Spanish pop outfit formed in 1982, consisting of Francisco Ruiz Musulén (keyboards), Luis Elices (guitar), Javier Escauriaza (drums), and Carlos de France (bass). The group was led on stage by singer Mari Paz Alvarez, accompanied by two dancers-singers known as Las Birmettes: Mónica Gabriel y Galán and Ana Fernández. Shortly after, Mari Paz Alvarez was replaced by Yolanda Hens. The band released their debut LP in 1985 titled "Tormenta a las diez," which featured their biggest hit, "Desidia," produced by Julian Ruiz. Following their second album, most members departed, leading Francisco R. Musulén and Luis Elices to continue with the project. Carlos de France revamped the group as a girl group, enlisting Mónica Gabriel from the previous lineup, along with Lola Baldrich and Marisa Pino. De France took on the role of producer and songwriter but was not an official member. This new formation enjoyed success with the hit "Los amigos de mis amigas son mis amigos" in 1989. In 1990, Baldrich left, and Sol Abad joined, leading to the release of the group's final album in 1991, which went largely unnoticed. The group disbanded on December 31, 1991. Their discography includes: - 1982: Single "Shiwips"/"Exposición fot
