Obsession is a musical project often associated with Almighty, known for modern dance remakes of classic disco hits and powerful disco reinterpretations of more recent songs. The group features several women who take turns recording singles, with other members providing backup vocals. For disco-oriented remakes, Tracey Ackerman often takes the lead, while Miriam Stockley lends her powerful yet soft voice for club-oriented tracks. Jill Saward (also known as Diana Dee) steps up for original club songs that require a strong presence, and Amanda Abbs, a key figure in launching both Almighty Records and Obsession in 1989, is called upon for calmer, less powerful tracks. Each vocalist leads a song individually, showcasing their unique styles within the group.
