Odd Machine is an open-ended collaborative project initiated by an unnamed creator, with plans to expand over time and incorporate a diverse range of musicians. The project began in 2007 with an experimental first installment. In 2009, for the second release, the creator collaborated with Atom™ to produce two tracks characterized by abstract rhythmic expressionism. Each artist involved selected their own equipment: Uwe Schmidt utilized the Linn Electronics 9000, Linn LM-2, and Tenori-On, while Freund chose the Roland TR-808.
