**Bio: Odds and Ends** Odds and Ends was a musical group consisting of Wanda (also known as Doll), Larry Butler, and Jim Grant. Wanda was born on December 29, 1952, Larry on January 31, 1951, and Jim on August 26, 1955. Hailing from Dorchester, GA, the trio began their musical journey singing in school and church before relocating to Philadelphia when Wanda was 13 years old. In Philadelphia, they were inspired by local disc jockeys Sonny "the Mighty Burner" Hobson and Jerry "the Geater with the Heater" Blavatt, which led them to form Doll and the Odds & Ends and create secular music. After being noticed during family performances, Robert Hawes took on the management role and secured an audition with Bobby Martin and Thom Bell. This resulted in the group signing with Today Records as Odds & Ends. Between 1970 and 1972, the group recorded eight tracks with Bell & Martin, as well as with Patrick Adams and Maurice Irby in New York. Their first single, "Let Me Try," reached number 30 on the charts in 1970, and the B-side, "Foot Track," gained popularity in the '90s UK rare groove scene. Their second single, "Love Makes The World Go Round," also made the top 30 in 1971. However, after a few hits, the group fell into obscurity when Today Records faced financial difficulties
