O'Donel Levy was an American rhythm and blues, funk, and jazz guitarist born on September 20, 1945, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the brother of a drummer and studied music at the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Levy later moved to New York City, where he toured with various artists. He passed away on March 14, 2016, at the age of 70.
