Off The Sky is the musical project of Jason Corder, who hails from Kentucky, USA. The name "Off the Sky" originated from a misinterpretation of a line from the film Trainspotting, fittingly reflecting the dub-atmospheric and acoustic nature of his work. Born at the close of 1977, Jason's musical journey began early, experimenting with broken electronic gear, a cheap Casio keyboard, and an old Wurlitzer piano, which still influences his music today. At the age of 15, he delved into tracker software, honing his skills amidst a world of rapid-fire computer sounds. After a hiatus for college, Jason returned to music with renewed passion, drawing inspiration from artists like Monolake, Gas, and Christian Fennesz. He engages in various creative pursuits, including performing live shows, hosting a college radio show, and playing guitar in a post-rock band. Jason’s work embodies a commitment to experimentation and creativity, aiming for a timeless artistic expression through his unique sound.
