Ofo & The Black Company is a musical group that emerged in Nigeria during the 1970s, discovered by Decca's A&R man, David Bennett. The band gained recognition for their song "Allah Wakbarr," recorded in 1972. Following the release of this track in the UK, they were invited to perform in Berlin before making their way to the UK, where they were based for a time. In 1975, they underwent a name change to Ofo The Rock Company and returned to Lagos. The band members included Larry Ifedioranma (Jr.) on drums, percussion, and vocals; Kingsley Obiche on congas; Dele Olaseinde on keyboards; and Toks Shotade on guitar. The original lineup featured Degiga Ifediora, Larry Ifedioranma (Jr.), Ifi Jerry, Popo Kamson, Benna Kemfa, and Sonny Makoko.
