Oliver Sain was an American producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, proficient in keyboards, saxophone, and drums. Born on March 1, 1932, in Dundee, Mississippi, he passed away on October 28, 2003, in St. Louis, Missouri, due to bone cancer. Sain was the owner of a recording studio and served as the manager of a soul vocalist. He is known for essential tracks such as “Bus Stop” (1974), “Booty Bumpin’ (The Double Bump)” (1974), “She’s A Disco Queen” (1975), “Get Up And Hustle” (1975), “Party Hearty” (1975), and “B-oo-g-ie” b/w “Feel Like Dancin’” (1977). Additionally, he composed “Don’t Mess Up A Good Thing” in 1965.
