Olivia Block is a musician, media artist, and composer based in Chicago, Illinois. She incorporates chamber instrumentation, field recordings, and digital effects and synthesis into her work. In addition to her audio releases, Block creates site-specific installations and composes scores for performance and film. Her music career began in the 1990s in Austin, Texas, where she played in bands such as The Thorns and The Marble Index.
