Omar Khorshid was a talented guitar player from Egypt, born in 1945. He tragically lost his life in a car accident in 1981. After starting his career by playing at parties and small clubs, he gained recognition when he was invited by the renowned singer Abdel Halim Hafez to perform electric guitar with his Oriental Orchestra. Khorshid later collaborated with the legendary Oum Kalsoum and her orchestra. In 1973, he moved to Lebanon, where he began recording his own music, a pursuit he continued until his untimely death. In addition to his music career, he was also an actor, appearing in several Egyptian, Lebanese, and Syrian films during the 1970s and early 1980s, and is believed to have composed music for over 40 films.
