Omni Trio, the stage name of producer Rob Haigh from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, began his musical journey with his first release in early 1993 on his own label. His work quickly caught the attention of a Hertford-based trio, leading to his signing with them. Throughout the 1990s, Haigh developed a distinctive style that contributed to the emergence of ambient or 'intelligent' Drum and Bass, releasing six acclaimed albums. The Omni Trio sound is characterized by intricate orchestrated production and an atmospheric sound palette.
