Ms. Alice Jean "One'sy" Mack was a notable figure from New York City, originally hailing from Darlington County. Born in 1940, she graduated from Mayo High School in 1958, where she was actively involved in various school activities and notably wrote the words for the school's Alma Mater during her eighth grade year. Ms. Mack furthered her education at South Carolina State College, earning a degree in Home Economics. Throughout her career, she held various roles, including teacher, dietitian, songwriter, singer, actress, pianist, and producer. She passed away in 2011.
