**Bio: Orange Wedge** Orange Wedge is a progressive/psychedelic rock band formed in 1968 in Baltimore, Maryland. The band evolved from a previous group called Greg & The Originals, consisting initially of Greg Coulson (lead vocals), Fred Zang (rhythm guitar, vocals), and Don Cowger (bass). In 1968, they expanded their lineup by adding Craig Krixer (lead guitar), Dave Burgess (keyboards), and Tom Rizzo (drums). Krixer is credited with naming the band. The group quickly gained popularity, performing at various teen centers and school dances, and became one of the top hard rock bands in Baltimore. They played extensively across Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and West Virginia. After a brief hiatus due to Coulson's illness in early 1969, he rejoined the band, but by the end of that year, Zang and Krixer left to join Black Foot Smoke. Between 1971 and 1975, Orange Wedge focused on creating their own music. Guitarist Joe Farace contributed ideas, while Coulson wrote the lyrics and the band collaboratively arranged the songs. Their debut album, "Wedge," was recorded in 1972 at Flite Three Studios, with 500 copies pressed and distributed locally. Their second album, "No One Left But Me," was released in 1974 and featured special guests Mark O'Connor and Jay Graboski. A thousand
