Orchestra Super Mazembe was a band based in Kenya known for playing Lingala (Soukous) music. The band originated from Super Vox, which was formed in 1967 in Congo (then Zaire) and led by Mutonkole Lonwa Didos. In 1974, the band relocated to Nairobi and adopted the name Orchestra Super Mazembe. It is important to note that they should not be confused with Orchestre Mazembe from Congo, who also played Soukous music.
