Orchestre Les Noirs is a long-lasting band that was among the first to visit Kenya, although they eventually returned to Zaire. Formed in Kinshasa in 1966, they began releasing albums in East Africa in the early 1970s. The band may have had two branches: one based in Congo and another on tour. Additionally, they appear to have merged with an East African band called City Five, led by Chuza Kabaselle.
