Ornette Coleman was an American jazz saxophonist, violinist, trumpeter, and composer, born on March 9, 1930, in Fort Worth, Texas. He passed away on June 11, 2015, in New York City, New York. Coleman's album gave its name to a whole jazz movement. He was married from 1954 to 1964, and their son is a jazz drummer who has recorded with both parents, beginning at the age of 10 on an unspecified album.
