Orquesta Aragón is a Cuban musical group that was formed on September 30, 1939, in Cienfuegos, Cuba, by contrabassist Orestes Aragón Cantero. Initially named Ritmica 39 and later Ritmica Aragón, the band eventually adopted its final name. It is considered one of the best charanga bands in Cuba during the 1950s and 60s and remains active today.
