**Orquesta Huambaly** is a Chilean musical ensemble formed in 1954 in Santiago, known for pioneering mambo, cha-cha-cha, big band jazz, brass music, bolero, guaracha, and tropical music. The group disbanded in 1964 but reunited in 2014 and remains active today. With their distinctive "Big Brass Tropical Band Sound," they have inspired and influenced bands such as Sonora Palacios, Los Vikings 5, Rumba 8, and Giolito Y Su Combo, playing a significant role in the rise of cumbia music in Chile during the late 60s, 70s, and 80s. The original lineup included members such as Jack Brown (lead vocals), "Lucho" Kohan (alt sax, musical direction), Roberto "Mono" Acuña (trumpet), and several others, contributing to the band's early success. The current lineup features Chivirico Dávila (lead vocals) and a range of talented musicians including Ricardo Barrios, Juan Bulnes, and Luis Saravia, among others.
