Orquesta Sonolux was formed in the early 1960s in Medellín, Colombia. Known for its vibrant sound featuring timbales, trumpets, piano, and saxophones, the orchestra quickly gained recognition and earned the nickname "the orchestra of the stars of the brand of the stars." Despite its brief existence of only two years, Orquesta Sonolux managed to record nine LPs under the auspices of one of the largest record companies of the time, Sonolux Colombia.
