Os Carbonos is a Brazilian vocal and instrumental group formed in the 1960s in São Paulo by the nephews of the Trigêmeos Vocalists. The group consists of brothers Mario Bruno Gonçalves Carezzato (keyboards) and twins Raul and Humberto Carezzato Sobrinho (vocals and double bass), along with Antônio Carlos de Abreu (drums) and Ricardo Fernandes de Morais (rhythm guitar). Initially known as The Witchcraft and Os Quentes, they adopted the name Os Carbonos in 1966 and released about 20 LPs under that name. Throughout the 1970s, they performed under various aliases, including Androids, The Mackenzie Group, and Carbono 14. As The Magnetic Sounds, they recorded albums and accompanied singers Gilbert and Norma Aguiar on the Supererotica series of LPs (1972-1973). The group also appeared in bailes (dancing concerts), primarily in the North-Northeast of Brazil. In the late 1990s, they began accompanying singer Gilliard on records and concerts.
