Oswaldo Lares is a Venezuelan architect who has dedicated much of his spare time to field recordings of indigenous Venezuelan music since the late 1960s. His passion for uncovering the musical roots of his country has led him to explore rural villages outside Caracas, focusing on the often-overlooked folk traditions in his own neighborhood. Recently, his son has started to promote his father's work through the Achivolares Foundation.
