Ralph Lawson, known by his real name, is a resident DJ at Basics and the founder of the 20:20 Vision label. Alongside Fraser Brydson, he has produced two releases under the name Otaku for Soma, including the first release "Percussion Obsession" (Soma 06). Carl Finlow later joined them for Soma 41 with the track "Emelia," which was dedicated to Dave Clarke's newly born baby girl and recognized in Muzik Magazine and Jockey Slut's tunes of the year. The term "Otaku" is Japanese for computer geek.
