Ottmar Liebert is a Grammy Award-nominated guitarist known for his "Nouveau Flamenco" style. He leads the band Luna Negra, which has accompanied him on most of his albums and tours. With ten of his albums certified Platinum in the United States, he has received five Grammy Award nominations. Currently based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Liebert was born in 1959 in Cologne, Germany, to a Chinese-German father and a Hungarian mother. He spent much of his childhood traveling throughout Europe and Asia, and he began his classical guitar training at the age of 12.
