Otto von Schirach is an IDM and breakcore artist from Miami, Florida, active since 1998. Of Cuban and German descent, he is known for his unique style that is more sporadic and noisy compared to other artists in the genre, with a visual aesthetic that leans towards heavy metal rather than electronic. His bass sound is considered unrivaled among contemporaries, and he attributes his life energy healing force to the Bermuda Triangle, claiming the ability to teleport. He has released most of his work on the Schematic and Beta Bodega labels and was featured in the 2002 documentary Electro-Dziska. Otto's live performances are characterized by outfits, masks, and props, and he has toured with the band Skinny Puppy, contributing to their albums The Greater Wrong Of The Right and Mythmaker. In 2011, he toured the U.S. with Atari Teenage Riot. In addition to his solo work, von Schirach engages in music production and remixing, collaborating with various artists, including Modeselektor on their records Happy Birthday! and Monkeytown. Recently, he has become involved with the Miami Bass Warriors, a project focused on Miami Bass alongside Jose el Rey, El Tigre, and Debbie D from Avenue D. Their debut video, "Going Back to Calle 8," was featured on Pitbull's show La Esquina.
