Out Of Focus was a German "Krautrock" rock fusion band formed in late 1968 in Munich, existing for about five years. They derived their name from a Blue Cheer track and were influenced by bands like Soft Machine and Xhol Caravan. The band quickly developed a distinctive style that blended rock and jazz with psychedelic overtones. A notable aspect of their music was the profound socio-political awareness reflected in Moran Neumüller's songs. While they embodied the Munich style similar to bands like Embryo and Sahara, they are often compared to Canterbury fusion and Scandinavian jazz-rock acts. After the band disbanded, main member Regius Dreschler pursued other musical endeavors, including a personal project.
