P16.D4 was a German band known for their music that blended elements of industrial and cacophonous sounds. Their debut album, "Kühe In 1/2 Trauer," released in 1984 by Selektion, showcased a fusion of the playful irrationality of dadaism with the oppressive tones of expressionism. The band was comprised of Roger Schönauer and Ewald Weber, who specialized in an austere art and technique involving loop and tape manipulation. Stefan E. Schmidt joined the group for their second release, "Distruct," also in 1984, which was a deconstructed remix of sound sources contributed by friends from the industrial scene. Their double album, "Nichts Niemand Nirgends Nie," released in 1986, explored musique concrete and electronic improvisation. In 1987, they released "Tionchor," a collection of revised rarities.
