P1/E is a unique musical project that emerged in the early 1980s, known for their single "49 Second Romance / Dependence," released in Berlin in 1980. This track became a hit in the wave scene, particularly in Germany, and continues to energize dance floors among minimal-electro enthusiasts. Following the release, P1/E contributed tracks to the Monogam and Licht & Schatten compilations. After disbanding in 1981, the members transitioned to other notable projects, including Einstürzende Neubauten, EXKURS, and Tennis Boy Blues. In 1989, member Schäumer produced two tracks for Acid Generation, released by Big Sex Records. In 2020, P1/E made a comeback with new tracks.
