Pablo Milanes was a Cuban singer and composer born on February 24, 1943, in Bayamo, Cuba. He passed away on November 21, 2022, in Madrid, Spain. Milanes began his career with groups such as Cuarteto del Rey and Los Bucaneros before establishing himself as a solo artist. His early songs were associated with the Cuban music movement known as "Feeling." In 1968, he became a member of the Canción Protesta de la Casa de las Américas. As one of the founders of Nueva Trova Cubana, he was also part of the GRS (Grupo de Experimentacion Sonora). His music has been featured in several films, including "Oggun," directed by Gloria Rolando.
