Pacho Galan was a Colombian musician and composer, born on October 3, 1906, and he passed away on July 21, 1988. He is recognized as the father of the merecumbe genre and is best known for writing the song "Ay Cosita Linda," which is often considered the first merecumbe song. This track gained worldwide fame after being covered by Nat King Cole.
