Pacho Galán was a Colombian musician and composer, born on October 3, 1906, and he passed away on July 21, 1988. He is recognized as the father of the merecumbe genre and is notably the writer of the song "Ay Cosita Linda," which is considered one of the first merecumbe songs. This song gained worldwide success after being covered by Nat King Cole.
