The Pain Teens, formed in 1985 in Houston, Texas by Bliss Blood and Scott Ayers, initially emerged from the local punk scene. However, it took them two years to begin performing and releasing music. Their sound evolved into a chaotic and sinister blend of punk, noise, tape loops, found sounds, samples, exotic instrumentation, and an unmistakable aura of creepiness.
