Pandit Shivkumar Sharma was an Indian musician and composer, born on January 13, 1938, in Jammu, India. He passed away on May 10, 2022, in Mumbai, India. A multi-instrumentalist, he is renowned for introducing the santoor, a hammered dulcimer folk instrument from the valley of Kashmir, to classical Indian music. He is also the father of another santoor player.
