**Bio: Pantera** Pantera is a heavy metal band hailing from Arlington, Texas, formed in 1981 by brothers Vinnie Paul Abbott (drums) and Darrell Lance Abbott, known as Dimebag Darrell (guitar). The original lineup included Terry Glaze (rhythm guitar), Donny Hart (vocals), and Tommy D. Bradford (bass), and they initially played glam/heavy metal. The band's lineup changed frequently in its early years, with Donny Hart leaving in 1982, followed by Terry Glaze, who transitioned to lead vocals. Rex Brown replaced Tommy D. Bradford on bass in 1982. In 1986, the band saw further changes, with several vocalists coming and going, including Matt L'Amour, Rick Mythiasin, and David Peacock, before Donny Hart returned briefly. Ultimately, Phil Anselmo became the band's lead vocalist in late 1986. Pantera released four albums in the 1980s, with their fourth album, "Power Metal," featuring Anselmo. However, it wasn't until the release of "Cowboys from Hell" in 1990 that they achieved commercial success. This was followed by two highly successful albums, "Vulgar Display of Power" and "Far Beyond Driven."
