Parade Ground is a Belgian band formed in 1981 by brothers Jean-Marc Pauly and Pierre Pauly. Pioneers of cold wave and EBM, they released their first single, "Moan On The Sly," in 1983. The band remained active until now, although they took a hiatus from releasing music between 1988 and 2007 to pursue other artistic projects, including writing and plastic art. Over the years, their style has evolved from a radical cold wave sound in the 1980s to a more danceable style characterized by stressed rhythmics and synthetic melodies, complemented by an ironic dadaist visual aesthetic. They have collaborated with members of other Belgian bands and worked with an English producer from Wire, contributing to two albums in 1994. Their 2007 album "Rosary" was produced by Patrick Codenys of Front 242. Parade Ground has built a solid live reputation, known for their "choreography of chaos," and has frequently toured across various European countries.
