Parálisis Permanente was a Spanish post-punk group active from 1981 to 1983. The band originated as a project by Eduardo Benavente and Nacho Canut, who sought to explore more risky and sinister sounds. Nacho Canut eventually left the band to focus on "Alaska," while Ana Curra transitioned from "Alaska" to join Parálisis Permanente, leading to the recording of their first and only album, "El Acto," in 1983. Tragically, Eduardo Benavente died in a car accident in May 1983 while returning from a gig, which led to the band's disbandment. The members of Parálisis Permanente included Eduardo Benavente (guitar, vocals), Rafa Balmaseda (bass), Ana Curra (keyboards, vocals), Toti Arbolés (drums), Fernando (guitar), and Antonio Moreno (guitar). The band also had several ex-members, including Javier Benavente (vocals), Jaime Urrutia (guitar), Ignacio (Nacho) Canut (bass), and Johnny Canut (drums).
