Pasteur Lappé is a Cameroonian funk master born in 1953 in Douala. He moved to Paris in the late 70s to study journalism but soon immersed himself in music, where he formed friendships with notable African music stars, including Fela Kuti. Lappé is renowned for creating the "Sekele Movement," a unique fusion of funk, disco, afrobeat, reggae, soul, and Rn'B. His most prolific years were from 1979 to 1981, during which he released three flagship albums.
