Pat Thomas, born on April 6, 1964, is an author, musician, and music producer based in San Francisco. He founded a notable project in 1988 and released five solo records between 1987 and 1997. Additionally, he served as a drummer and percussionist for the bands Absolute Grey and Mushroom. Thomas has produced reissues for various labels and is the author of "Listen Whitey! The Sights And Sounds Of Black Power 1965-1975" and "Did It! From Yippie To Yuppie: Jerry Rubin, An American Revolutionary." He was a consultant for Stanley Nelson's 2015 PBS documentary "The Black Panthers: Vanguard Of The Revolution" and has lectured at several universities. Together with another collaborator, he curated the book "Invitation To Openness: The Jazz & Soul Photography Of Les McCann 1960-1980."
