Patachou was a French singer and actress born on June 10, 1918, in Paris. She passed away on April 30, 2015, in Neuilly-sur-Seine. Known for her vibrant personality, she was the second wife of an American producer and was appointed Officer of the Legion of Honor on January 1, 2009. Patachou began her career singing in a Montmartre restaurant, quickly becoming a neighborhood legend, famously known for snipping off the ends of customers' ties. She played a significant role in the French chanson revival during the post-war years, gaining international recognition and achieving success in the United States. In her later years, she gradually shifted her focus from music to acting.
